About

Originally from Detroit, Michigan and now living in Logan Square, Chicago, I am an artist drawn to the quiet magic in everyday life. Working primarily in ink, watercolor, and oil, my paintings often blur the line between the familiar and the fantastical—soft, whimsical glimpses of the world as it is, and as it could be. I have a deep love for the Great Lakes region and the rich tapestry of stories tied to its nature, people, and shared Midwest history. These themes often emerge in both my visual work and writing, as I aim to highlight the subtle enchantments of place and memory. My background in creative writing, studied at Oxford University, and a degree in art history with a concentration in medieval art from Wayne State University in Detroit continue to shape the narrative and symbolic elements of my practice. I also occasionally create my materials using natural pigments, letting the landscape itself become part of the work.

I illustrated a special edition of Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn, a project that beautifully combined my love of language and visual storytelling. My work has been exhibited at multiple comic conventions, where I’ve had the joy of connecting with communities that value narrative art, whimsy, and the strange beauty of the in-between.
